KortrijkBusinesspark Boxx – an innovative entrepreneurial community in Kortrijk
Business Park Boxx is transforming the former Van Marcke factory site on Bissegemsestraat in Kortrijk into a flexible and dynamic SME park. The name Boxx, derived from “boxing,” refers to the site’s former packaging operations and reflects the concept of modular business units within a vibrant community. The project combines high-quality architecture with the respectful preservation of historic elements, such as the Heulse Pannenkoekenhuisje and the distinctive brick facades along the cemetery.
Boxx is more than just a business park; it is a community concept. Businesses can connect with one another both physically and digitally, exchange services, and share knowledge. The design encourages interaction and cross-pollination, featuring shared amenities, pleasant green spaces, and gathering places that foster collaboration and well-being.

Sustainability and functionality are key: the infrastructure provides ample parking space, charging stations for electric vehicles and bicycles, and circulation space for logistics traffic. At the same time, the urban fabric is strengthened through careful site planning and respect for the surrounding residences and the cemetery.
Four new commercial buildings, together with the renovated historic building, create a diverse range of units ranging from 224 to 2,400 m², which can be flexibly configured to meet the needs of the business owner. Open spaces between the buildings serve as resting spots and gathering places, bordered by green areas and water features, creating a pleasant and functional outdoor space.
The facades combine robust concrete with dark bronze-painted metal accents, while uniform gates and signage create a clear and modular appearance.
