The veneer is made from the wood of the Succupira tree, a sustainable tropical wood species native to South America. This wood species is known for its deep, warm color and distinctive grain pattern, which lend a natural and luxurious look to the interior. The natural stone used is a quartzite called Verde Esperanza, finished with a honed leather-like look. This finish not only highlights the stone’s unique veining and color nuances but also provides a soft, tactile experience. Both the wood veneer and the natural stone are sourced from Brazil, creating a harmonious selection of materials.
The floor finish was applied by Liquidfloors using their innovative Carran technique. This technique results in a seamless surface with a refined appearance and high wear resistance. For the walls, the Boss Aquasensa painting technique was chosen, known for its matte, powdery effect and subtle sense of depth.
The dining table and bench were designed and crafted entirely to order, tailored to the proportions and intended use of the space. As a result, they fit perfectly into the overall concept and contribute to a cohesive and balanced interior.
A partition wall was installed in the center of the large open space, which not only defines the space but also serves an important functional purpose. By strategically positioning this wall, we were able to create an integrated TV and bar unit that is optimally utilized on both sides. Today, the unit serves as a subtle yet clear division between the living area and the dining area, without losing the home’s open character.
On one side, the unit serves as a comfortable and visually unobtrusive TV stand for the seating area, while on the other side it functions as a bar and storage space, ideal for use during dinners or casual gatherings. To provide additional flexibility and privacy, the living area can be completely enclosed with a curtain and a pivot door. This creates a more intimate and secluded atmosphere when desired, while the space once again becomes part of the larger whole when opened up.
