Smoked walnut veneer was chosen for its deep, rich tones and distinct wood grain, which bring a sense of warmth and elegance to the space. Together with the oak parquet, laid in the classic Hungarian herringbone pattern, this veneer creates a harmonious interplay of materials and textures. The parquet adds a subtle rhythm and a timeless appeal, while the visual dynamics of the Hungarian point pattern give the floor a playful and refined character.
In addition, the design was complemented by accents of Gaudi Brown natural stone, whose warm brown tones and natural veining provide a luxurious, organic touch. The combination of smoked walnut veneer, the meticulously laid oak parquet, and the rich natural stone results in an interior that exudes elegance, character, and harmony, with each material contributing its own story to the overall design.
To make the upper floor more accessible and functional, the roof structure was raised. This modification created sufficient space to realize a spacious and comfortable suite, which enhances the sense of openness and luxury. Within this suite, separate zones were designed for the bedroom and the bathroom, ensuring that both spaces are fully utilized while maintaining privacy.
The hallway connecting the bedroom and bathroom was given a special function and aesthetic. It was conceived as a light-filled dressing room, where the use of natural materials and smart layouts ensure organization and convenience. The addition of several modern dormer windows allows extra daylight to flood in, making the space not only practical but also radiating a pleasant, airy atmosphere. Together, these elements create an elegant and thoughtfully designed upper floor where comfort, light, and luxury come together seamlessly.
