During the design phase, a deliberate search was made for a tension-filled combination of non-ordinary forms and the use of materials that at first glance do not seem obvious for those specific uses. The starting point was to break through expectations and approach materials in a new, surprising way, without sacrificing coherence or sophistication.

A clear example of this is the use of a faux-marbre painting technique in the curved passage space. This technique was carefully crafted and carefully matched to the chosen natural stone of the checkout counter, subtly reflecting its appearance and markings. Applying this painting technique to a curved surface creates a special visual effect that further emphasizes the architectural form while establishing a strong dialogue with the materials used elsewhere in the interior. Thus, the passageway becomes not merely a functional area, but a fully-fledged, expressive part of the overall concept.

When designing, we wanted to create an interior that simultaneously has a distinctly street-style look and feel, yet conveys a clear sense of luxury and sophistication. The goal was to create a field of tension between raw, unpolished elements and high-quality materials, where contrasts reinforce rather than counteract each other.

Therefore, we chose a powerful combination of natural stone with concrete walls, which deliberately show their robust and honest character. Brute, painted steel railings reinforce the industrial feel and give the space a raw, urban touch. This was complemented by uneven paintwork, which provides texture and depth and gives the interior an almost artistic, lived-in look. Bringing these materials and finishes together creates an interior that feels bold and contemporary, yet luxurious and carefully designed.
